Generally, these double-, triple-, or otherwise multi-film deals are cheap, bottom-of-the-barrel compilations that only feed the needs of penny-pinchers and starving airmen. However, Warner Bros’ “Romeo Must Die”/”Cradle 2 the Grave” situation is a formidable double-team that breaks the subpar standard of these collections and delivers the complete package where both of these films are concerned.

Regardless of the contents of the films themselves (you’d have to have been living under a rock not obtain Andrej Bartkowiak’s 2000 genre-bending Jet Li/Aaliyah vehicle and its indirect sequel co-starring DMX), both include all of the special features found on the individual releases: “Romeo” features 13 making-of featurettes, three music videos, trailers, and DVD-ROM features; “Cradle” includes five featurettes, a DMX music video, the theatrical trailer, and DVD-ROM features. Both films feature English and French language tracks and corresponding subtitles (”Cradle” also has Spanish ones) and, yes, both are featured in 2.4:1 widescreen.

I’m a bit disappointed that the middle act of Bartkowiak’s quasi-trilogy (Exit Wounds, starring Steven Seagal) wasn’t included on here, but I articulate Warner Bros. figured that Jet Li sells comely darn well on his bear. It’s icy to have these two films together on one disc, seeing as their similarities in style do for an edifying comparison opportunity and profitable companions for a movie night. If it will achieve you money, there’s no reason not to believe this double-feature over buying the two films separate: aside from filling up excess situation on your movie shelf, you won’t be missing out on anything.

Actually, I would argue that this is one of the greatest films ever made. Enough time has passed for us to find over the shock of McBride / Carson / Gere’s desecration of that French classic (which was all about breaking taboos in the first area) . Hopefully this re-release will bring this droll, passionate, dazzling film to a novel generation of filmmakers and film buffs who heard somewhere that Tarantino actually prefers this version. He does, and he’s apt! Where the modern was remote, cynical, and yes, pretentious (seen it lately? ), this one is romantic, sharp, and intensely felt. It’s a creative, complete reworking of the unique material which manages to transpose the record from Paris to Los Angeles, substitute Eno and Glass and Jerry Lee Lewis for that anonymous frigid jazz, replace Bogart with the Silver Surfer, etc. And it all works! It does all this without losing one iota of the dashing spirit that made the recent so memorable, and yet like the few vast remakes it’s totally its fill film. I’m telling you, folks, the McBride “Breathless” is the GREATEST!

This seems to be a movie people either absolutely fancy or absolutely despise. I lean toward the ancient camp. I would have given five stars, but the soft-porn proclivities of this film — and Richard Gere’s annoying character (who does have redeeming qualities) — were reasons for the deduction.

Any great girl who’s ever been in treasure with Mr. Unfriendly (myself included!) will acquire an appreciation for this movie. The central characters, Monica Poiccard (Kaprisky) and Jesse Lujack (Gere) are perfect in their diametric opposition to each other. Monica is an honors Architecture student at UCLA with a luminous future ahead of her; Jesse is a small-time, smart-alec hood whose great ambition in life is to emulate his hero, the comic-book character Silver Surfer. While speeding through the desert, he is pulled over by and accidentally shoots and kills a cop. Needing a station to cloak, Jesse pops attend into Monica’s life. He was merely a lunge she’d had while on vacation in Las Vegas, but she was something considerable more to him. Jesse’s lifestyle revolts and excites Monica at the same time, which is why she takes up with him as he drags her along with him on a high-energy race from the law.

I assume this film to be one of my guilty pleasures. Despite its aforementioned drawbacks, it possesses a lush decadence that’s quite lively. I recommend it to anyone who wants to indulge!

On the books this film is a giallo, but it is only in the most basic sense. Yeah it’s a assassinate mystery, it deals with sexual themes and it’s Italian. That’s where all comparissons waste though. No rampaging killer with gloves and a hat/hood and no actual body count to stutter of other than the Pyjama girl herself. Positive there are a few more deaths, but not until the ruin of the film. There are basically two plotlines running throughout the film. The first is the investigation into the dumb woman that’s led by two detectives(one of them Ray Milland) . Once the second status begins, it ends up taking up about 75% of the film. This deals with the yummy Dalila Di Lazzaro(yummy except for the armpit hair) trying to juggle three lovers. She sleeps with unprejudiced about everyone but unpleasant Milland. The film magnificent distinguished becomes a drama in the Lifetime Current Movie vein. No suspense, no killer stalking anyone. In fact, as you collect more and more tangled into the yarn, you nearly forget there was a slay mystery at the heart of all this! Ray Milland seems to honest diappear about an hour into the film. Before you know it, you’re asking yourself, “Hey, wasn’t Ray Milland in this film? ” It’s like Milland only had a two day shooting schedule and his time ran out before director Mogherini could shoot all his scenes. His character is silly though. Even with my complaints, I was never bored with this movie, unbiased not terribly impressed. But if anyone should gather it stupid, you can always dance around your living room to the funky Riz Ortolani bag. The disc has a half hour documentary about the trusty Pyjama girl assassinate case which is actually more provocative than the film.

“The Pyjama Girl Case” disappointed me for several reasons. First, and foremost, it is not a correct Italian giallo. Absent is the typical black-gloved serial killer. Only two people are murdered. Second, this movie doesn’t have any major shocks or area twists. The state is very linear. Third, there is only one fair woman and that is actress Dalila Di Lazzaro who later went on to act in Dario Argento’s noble “Phenomena,” which is definitely an Italian giallo.

Based on a lawful, unsolved crime, “The Pyjama Girl Case” centers around the badly burned body of a young woman found on an Australian beach. Ray Milland (of “Man with X-ray Eyes” and “Frogs”) does an kindly job of portraying Canadian detective Thompson. While he investigates the destroy, the right events of what led to the discovery of the corpse are told in flashbacks. The victim, we learn, is a waitress named Linda who had several lovers. Eventually she marries a waiter while continuing to have other relations. I didn’t feel too sympathetic towards her. The scene where she has sex for money with two older, overweight gentlemen was particularly gross and slimy; it should’ve been omitted.

The interview with the author Richard Evans who wrote the lawful life myth of the Pyjama Girl was more animated and luscious than this movie. It was like watching an episode of “60 Minutes.” Staunch photographs of the burned corpse of the Pyjama Girl were shown. Details were given concerning who she may have been.

The reproduction of the amusing book, “Taboo,” containing a anecdote about the Pyjama Girl was hard to read. The print was very shrimp.

The soundtrack is gigantic. Music was scored by Riz Ortolani who also provided fabulous scores for Armando Crispino`s “The Insensible Are Alive” and Lucio Fulci’s “Perversion Legend.”

The music net and the author interview compelled me to give this movie three stars in lieu of two. However, I strongly run that you rent “The Pyjama Girl Case” before purchasing. It left me very unfulfilled.

I am a broad fan of 70’s apprehension movies, and am always searching for some original adore. This movie is even more terrifying than normal when you judge that it is based on a just sage. It shook me quite a bit when I first saw it. Be warned that some scenes are very sexual in nature and disturbing. It’s not gratutious sex like most unpleasant “dread” flicks today. The movie depicts a woman who moves into a unique house with her two children and after some time begins to be attacked by an unseen entity. She is left raped and bruised and thinking she’s going out of her mind. The rape scenes are very tastefully done, but are hard to peruse when you mediate that this supposedly really happened. It is not a movie for children. As an adult, I had to sleep with the lights on after the movie and really had a hard time being alone for a few days. This is not a blood-letting fest, it’s not a teen sex/slasher film, and it’s not a murky assylum like setting. It’s a film that is at the top of my list of all time accepted truely scary, “can’t go the bathroom alone” kind of movies.

By the arrangement, if you liked this movie then you should try to find your hands on a made for TV movie called “Don’t be horrified of the Murky”. It disturbed me to death as a child, so worthy so that I remembered the name all these 20 some years. When I finally saw it again as an adult, it was quiet sparkling creepy and worth the search.

When I first watched this movie, I was really skeptical… the whole premise of the movie was about a woman played by Barbara Hershey who claimed to be raped and beaten by ghosts (two would fill her down and one would rape her) . But I watched the movie because it was indeed engaging and if anything, it made you assume and challenged the mind. But the more I watched it, the more disturbing it got. There are parts of the movie where you can notice invisible hands fondling her breasts and her being physically attacked by an unknown “thing”.

After watching the movie, I did a lot of online research to win out how apt the movie was… and reach to score out, the proper woman’s name was Carlotta Moran in Culver City, CA (which isn’t too far from me) and it made news all over the dwelling. There is documented facts from scientists, parapsychologists, and several neutral bystanders who have witnessed various one of the apparitions that attacked her.

Buy,Download, Or Stream The Entity! Click Here

The only section of the movie that wasn’t really “dependable” was the ending where they assume the ghost. In the slay, the entity was never truly captured and the accurate woman had to go five different times and it serene followed her. She was raped 15 times during a 10-week DOCUMENTED investigation. The superb news is that the entity eventually stopped following her after two years of a awful ordeal and she would depart further and further away from her home.

Here’s something interesting:

In exact life, the lady was being raped and was screaming in her bedroom. Her 16-year-old son walked in and saw his mother being assaulted on the bed and tried to conclude the ghost. He ended up being thrown across the room and broke his arm. When the scene was recreated in the movie, the ACTOR broke the VERY same arm doing that very same scene re-enacted. That’s eerie.

The movie, as a whole… is not a fright movie. But it is very mentally disturbing because it really happened… credible people witnessed it. Whether you possess or don’t.. doesn’t really matter. But it’s worth watching simply as a conversation section. Certain five stars (even though it is VERY indecent budget and kinda cheesy) for originality.

While I’ve seen these movies since I was a kid, and always loved them, I was surprised to ogle who some of the secondary actors turned out to be. In the first movie there’s Tony Curtis. In the third one, there’s David Janssen and Leonard Nimoy.

This was a formulaic series of films, but they had their hearts in the apt region. Francis is an always enthralling guardian angel with a exiguous bit of attitude. And Chill Wills managed to fetch several octaves in on almost every line, which brought a hee-haw accomplish to his speech. It’s… endearing.

Donald O’Connor is definitely believable as Pete. He’s a hoot. Maybe someday that character will actually rep it, and won’t need Francis to seize care of him any more.

Interestingly, on the “Singin’ in the Rain” 50th anniversary DVD, Donald O’Connor says that the reason that he’s not in the titanic finale production number is that the studio sent him off to build another Francis movie (West Point, I reflect) . Because I like Francis so, that’s impartial radiant by me.

Also, the first 3 films actually have continuity, mentioning things from previous adventures. That’s kind of nice.

Perhaps they’ll release the rest of them on DVD, and I can protest you why Mickey Rooney honest couldn’t quite do it work. No offense to Mickey, of course. It’s fair that Donald O’Connor is the one and only actual pal to my celebrated mule.

Long Live Francis!!!

I loved the Francis Movies – the before Mr. Ed of the movies. Francis was a wise-cracking, know it all mule, with the enlighten of the expansive Chill Wills. Donald O’Connell was Francis’ sidekick and they had simply FUN adventures. Most are seldom, if ever seen in the last couple of decades, so this will be a broad dash for those who remember them and a chance for children and grandchildren to contemplate them.

Volume 1 – is for full-length movies

1. Francis the Talking Mule

2. Francis goes to the Races

3. Francis goes to West Point (with William Reynolds and puny fraction by Leonard Nemoy)

4. Francis Camouflage the Substantial Town

They are Shaded and White – for those irregular with the Francis movies, though later ones were in colour.

So pop the popcorn, kick benefit and let the whole family have a wee giggle at Wills and O’Connell’s antics.

One of the finest films of all time, directed by Fred ( High Noon, From Here to Eternity ) Zinnemann. Among the ensemble of players are Wendy Hiller, Orson Welles, Susanna York, Robert Shaw, Leo Mc Kern and–in one of his earliest roles–a young John Wound. Truly a cast for all seasons!

It’s an acting lesson, headed by the substantial Paul Scofield who not only captures the essence of Sir Thomas Moore, but who does so with wonderful economy of motion; he hardly makes a gesture thoughout the entire film— Duse would have loved it.

How does he do it? Well, as I said, it’s an acting lesson. Suffice it to say he rightly deserved winning the Oscar.

Robert Bolt’s vivid play is a gape of contrasts with a mystery at the heart of the theme: Was Moore a Saint who is now in Heaven with The Blessed, or was he a fool who could have died in his bed at a ripe frail age after a lifetime of domestic felicity and the highest honors his country could bestow upon him?

If there is no God, or if you maintain that the conflict between The Anglican and Catholic Churches to be of no paramount importance, is your integrity level-headed worth losing your head on the chopping block?

Hmm. . .

Magnificent in every respect.

I have loved this movie since I saw it in its recent release too many years ago. Certainly, Sir Thomas More was a glorious person who died a martyr and has been canonized a saint. However, don’t confuse the play and movie with the flesh and blood man. He was remarkable more complex in exact life than the purely agreeable performance of Paul Scofield. You can read the biography of Thomas More by Peter Ackroyd to secure at some of his complexities.

But this is a amazing movie and I recommend it with immense enthusiasm. It is a great movie and can have some useful at least temporary curative accomplish on the soul suffering under the ironical detachment and cynicism of our time. Scofield is incredible and the definitive performance of this role. Orson Welles is quite special as the elephantine and tainted Cardinal Wolsey. John Pain is proper as the traitor Richard Rich. Shaw is glorious as Henry VIII as is the rest of the cast.

And who can forget the line where More asks to ogle chain of office that Richard Rich was given to perjure himself and betray More. After examining it and being told that Sir Richard was made the Attorney General of Wales More says, “Richard, it profits a man nothing to trade his soul for the whole world, but for Wales …” Amazing stuff.

The disk offers the wide shroud theatrical release and a pudgy hide version for those who like to survey less of the represent in order to avoid the upper and lower “bars”. There is also the unusual trailer.

There are no other features on the disk beyond scene selection.

This disk belongs in every collection and should be reviewed regularly as an healthful tonic to aid remedy the bilious nihilism of our age.

In Gran Torino he both directs and acts, and delivers an acting performance that will be remembered long after the final credits roll, in its unusual map, as memorable as any other character he has created.

Gran Torino is the second best movie I have seen this year. Not impartial for the acting, not unbiased for the directing, but for the storytelling, and the emotional swagger on which it takes you, the laughter, the feeling of being gripped, and its more surprising moments.

In the opening scenes, we have the exposition of the character. We gain to know Walt Kowalski, by how people act around him, and his seemingly hateful attitude towards people. More is conveyed through a scowl, and a advise than with words. When the waggish grandchildren go through his stuff in the basement, we leer the Silver Star he won in Korea. There are three other valuable symbols in the movie, the lighter, the gun, and the car.

We witness a hero with a warrior past, a patriot who fought for a cause greater than himself. Clearly, his bigotry stems from those experiences.

He’s not fair mean, he’s ‘get of my lawn’ mean. He’s Dirty Harry ‘Go ahead punk, compose my day!,’ mean.

His tedious wife’s priest bugs him to hear his confession, at her quiz. The priest in a diagram is his wife’s conscience.

When he snarls down the barrel of his rifle, at the neighborhood punk: ‘I could blow your head off, and sleep like a baby,’ you score the sense that he means it.

So, with all that happens, we survey the change in his decision making, from someone reluctant to be eager in his neighbor’s affairs, and a record can turn on something as random as looking at an empty beer cooler.

For all his faults, Walt has old masculine character. Even though he is a difficult father, he has taught his children character. So, when he sees the boy next door lacks character, and a strong male role model, he takes him under his skim, and teaches him how to be a man.

The scenes where the boy practises Walt’s high octane ball busting banter, are the funniest in the movie. Through bright Walt, he makes decisions he never would have made by himself. In so doing, Walt finds meaning and purpose, and a chance for redemption, and the boy becomes a man.

The Academy’s actor awards tend to go to actors in two types of role:

1.Psychopath- No Country for Weak Men, The Usual Suspects, There Will Be Blood, Training Day, Silence of the Lambs.

2.Mentally Disabled, Social or Physical Handicap, overcomes tremendous adversity or discrimination- Shine, As Estimable as It Gets, A Exquisite Mind, Ray, Scent of a Woman, Capote, Philadelphia, The Pianist, A Radiant Life.

Every rule has an exception. Russell Crowe in Gladiator played a character with thematic similarities to Walt.

For a 78 year primitive man to declare and be lead actor in a movie of this caliber is an achievement favorable at the very least of being nominated for the highest award for Acting, Directing or both.

I hope you obtain this review suited.

People react strongly to “Gran Torino,” either embracing its depiction of a flawed but mettlesome racist extinct coot, or deriding the movie simply because its apparent political incorrectness makes them nervous. But even if the Academy does not bestow one award on what is probably Clint Eastwood’s last movie as an actor, remember this: “Gran Torino” is a more colorful film on the status of bustle relations today than “Rupture” (a multiple Oscar winner) ever pretended to be.

The myth is about Walt Kowalski, a grizzled Korean War vet and widower who spends his time drinking, smoking, and polishing his 1972 Ford Gran Torino, a vintage example of Detroit muscle. Because he installed the car’s steering column himself, the car represents not only a classically American fixation on the automobile, but also a blue-collar, pull-yourself-up-by-your-bootstraps work ethic, one that Eastwood himself would no doubt agree with. (If for some reason you don’t hold me, read his “What I’ve Learned” interview in the latest negate of Esquire.)

Kowalski mentors an aimless Hmong teenager named Thao, who is being pressured to join his cousin’s gang. This is where the “Karate Kid” comparison comes in, which is erroneous, partly because the characters of “Gran Torino” explain considerably greater depth. The boy who plays Thao (and in fact all of the Hmong characters) is not a professional actor, so although his portrayal is sometimes rather wooden, there really isn’t any substitute for authenticity. Eastwood came of age in an era when Hollywood produced war movies using, say, a Chinese actor to describe a Japanese soldier. It’s sure from the casting of “Gran Torino” (and “Letters from Iwo Jima,” for that matter) that Eastwood prefers to do things his absorb intention.

Kowalski makes fun of Thao (calling him “Toad”), but also teaches the boy how to catch an unbiased living. In the process, he becomes closer to Thao’s family than he is to any of his bear kin, who have degenerated into a distant, crass, materialistic clan of their occupy, far removed from the values Kowalski attempted to pass on.

The accurate stream of racist epithets in “Gran Torino” will cause some people to laugh uncomfortably, others to laugh with delight, and quiet another group to glare at those who are laughing. Ultimately, however, this unsettling portrayal of one man’s deep prejudices evolves into a different narrative altogether. It is not possible to explain the audience a path away from a racist mentality without showing honestly where that mentality came from–a feat which “Rupture,” in spite of its heavy-handed moralizing, never came end to pulling off.

Sesame Street’s monsters shine in this song-filled, 30-minute video. Highlights are Grover’s “What Do I Do When I’m Alone? ” and Cookie Monster’s “C Is For Cookie”, both from 1971. I always have a laugh at the cute title of this obscure runt film that never features in the ‘greats’ lists of Hollywood legends Bette Davis and James Cagney. In the halcyon period from 1937 to 1946 it was rare indeed to examine Bette Davis, the newly annointed Queen of Warner Brothers Studios, in anything but power house Academy Award nominated dramatic roles like ‘Jezebel’, and ‘The Letter’,which is why this film comes as a surprise when examining her famed film career. Thoughts on ‘The Bride Came C.O.D’, vary from it being Bette Davis’ worst career mistake, fair through to it providing her and Cagney with a refreshing change of whisk for two established veterans. I’ve always had a large fondness for this misfortune and even though Davis in particular is not distinguished as a humorous actress it is unbelievable to spy her tackle something light hearted and wacky which was light years away from most of her other work in this period.

In their first teaming since ‘Jimmy the Gent’, both Davis and Cagney acquire a satisfactory attempt at delivering this type of screwball comedy normally associated with the likes of Cary Grant, and Claudette Colbert. Bette Davis plays moody oil heiress Joan Winfeild, and as the tale begins she impulsively announces at a night club that she is going to glide to Las Vegas to wed Hollywood bandleader Allen Brice (Jack Carson), after only smart him for four days. The resulting furore among the press over this headline grabbing anecdote alerts Joan’s father Lucius K. Winfeild (Eugene Pallette), to what is about to happen. Anxious to discontinuance his impulsive daughter from making another mistake Lucius hires cocky charter pilot Steve Collins (James Cagney), to literally ‘kidnap’ the bride to be and return her to him unwed. The two strike a deal whereby Steve will be paid when he ‘delivers’, Joan at the rate of ten dollars for each pound she weighs air freight! As the soon to be wed couple attempt to leave for Las Vegas on Steve’s plane, Steve with the assistance of his buddy Pewee (George Tobias), highjacks the plane and begins the fling to capture Joan benefit to her father. A mad Joan attempts to jump off the plane using a detestable parachute and in the struggle that follows she manages to design Steve wreck land the the plane in the Californian desert. Joan gets her objective deserts however when she rolls out of the plane and promptly lands in a cactus patch. The fiery relationship that has naturally developed between the two is not improved when Steve takes responsibility for removing the cactus spines from Joans very embarrassed backside! The next morning the pair procure a ghost town not far off in the distance where they become acquainted with its sole resident, crusty old-fashioned gold miner Pop Tolliver (Harry Davenport) . Pop takes a liking to the pair and can perceive that underneath all the verbal fights and cutting remarks that a actual cherish is growing between them. Meanwhile the press and Joan’s father are all wanting to know what has happened to her and before long the press and the disgruntled fiance Allen Brice open to fall on the desert residence in a plot wide search for the missing heiress. Finding her at the Ghost town Allen insists that they gain married legal there and both Steve and Pop pull every trick in the book to end the wedding going ahead, from Pop pretending that they are actually in Nevada which makes the wedding illegal without the just licence, to Steve trapping Joan in an passe gold mine pretending they are sealed in . Joan of course begins to realise her impulsive mistake in agreeing to marry the loudmouth Allen and despite herself begins to topple in admire with the brash Steve. All ends happily for the pair with the police set aside off the scent and Pop eventually playing host to the contented honeymooners in his ghost town hideaway.

Wild and wacky is the only method to record ‘The Bride Came C.O.D’. Even after repeated viewings it is aloof startling to spy dramatic queen Bette Davis in such a different role as here. The gawk of her being lent over Cagney’s lap and having cactus spines removed from her late is worlds away from her ‘tragedy queen’,triumphs during these years. I feel it gives her a delectable change of slouch that suits her and rarely has she looked better on veil than here thanks to the superior work by cinematographer Ernest Hallerthan. Her chemistry with James Cagney in his trademark cocky role is terrific and it’s a pity the two didn’t work together more often. Jack Carson’s largely thankless role is really only explain as a foil for Cagney’s barbs however well-known character actor Harry Davenport is a delight as the outmoded timer with the heart of gold who is responsible for getting Steve and Joan together. Worthy Eugene Pallette while having a grand smaller portion delivers his usual pleasant performance as the gravel voiced ‘new rich’, father to Davis’ character. Director William Keighley does a masterful job keeping this fleet paced scenerio involving and his direction of Bette Davis really reveals another whole side to this legendary star who could be breezy and wild given the suitable vehicle. The extensive employ of state shooting in Death Valley gives ‘The Bride Came C.O.D’, a strong realistic inspect to it despite the terribly hot conditions encountered by cast and crew during the daytime filming in the desert.

Bette Davis of course will always be remembered as a dramatic actress first and foremost but I would negate any fan of her work to check out this slight known film. It wouldn’t fetch any gargantuan awards but that is no measure on how spellbinding a film can be. Bette Davis herself was quoted as saying she and Cagney had mammoth fun making it but that she felt it was a largely mediocre disaster. Maybe, but new audiences can serene have fun seeing Warner Brothers greatest dramatic actress brought down to earth with a thud in ‘The Bride Came C.O.D’. Enjoy

I also worship The movie, The Bride Came COD and wish it was on DVD!It is about a Wicked tempermental heiress who wants to marry some guy who her father hates and she runs off to marry him and she meets a no nonsense pilot who is planning on returning her to her father but they wind up getting stranded together and the sparks flit!Yes this movie is very humorous but it’s a noble movie anyway and Bette Davis and James Cagney are favorable and I want this movie on DVD! I have seen other Bette Davis Movies and I concept they were gargantuan movies but thsis my current!

This film is a favorable record but it is stout of indecent language. There are many scenes with curse words that even I don’t want to hear. If this is critical to you, don’t order this film!

This film is unbiased as improbable today as it was at the time of its release. A terrific memoir of an ancient romantic rivalry, a legendary wild horse, and a young man from the high country is played out against the rugged but fine Australian landscape. It is cinematically exquisite, black silhouettes of horses and two people falling in like captured in front of the orange and blue hues of the majestic plains.

Tom Burlinson is spacious as the young man trying to get his legal to live in the high country after a legendary horse named Stallion causes his father’s death in a stampede. Kirk Douglass has a dual role here as Tom’s friend, a crusty but lovable miner who has been working the same claim for years, and his brother, a rich cattle rancher he goes to work for.

Sigrid Thornton is graceful as the daughter of the rancher, her slow mother being the key to the long years of hatred between he and his brother. Burlinson and Thornton open an innocent but very proper romance cemented when he saves her life in a storm. Her father, of course, is against it, but Tom’s chance to demonstrate himself comes when an expensive colt who may have ties to Stallion gets loose and starts running with the wild Brombies.
